There is now a “workaround” for profiling a 6”x8”/6”x9” dye sub printer with the highly popular ColorMunki. Ashley will take you through the few easy steps to show you how.

Andy Cambell from OnOne software will then give a demonstration of some amazing software tools & plug-ins available for Event Photographers.

Part 2 - presented by Mike Weeks

“Event photography: tips, tools and tricks”

Anyone can pick up a camera nowadays and take a picture but few people know the key to becoming a successful Event Photographer!

Mike Weeks explains the secrets of finding and securing the jobs that pay, selecting the right tools for the job and then maximizing turnover at an event! With Mike’s background in photography and engineering and his ability to explain things simply, Mike has helped hundreds of Event Photographers in growing their Event Photography businesses!

First Mike will show you how successful event photographers market themselves and their business.

Then Mike will take you step by step through the process of cable, workstation & printer selection for an event, setting up for maximum efficiency, and then how to sell as many prints as possible on the day!

Looking to shoot “wireless” at events? Mike will demonstrate his tried and tested method of setting up.

Last but certainly not least, Mike will show you how to create sandwich overlays, magazine covers and loads of other groovy ideas using the latest “Green Screen” software and how you can exploit this technology to add value and generate maximum profit.

Part 3 - presented by Damian McGillicuddy

“Creative studio, lighting & portrait”

Damian McGillicuddy is also known as “The Magician” but according to Damian creating magical portrait and studio images with the simplest of lighting setups is no smoke and mirrors although he admits using a little smoke and perhaps a mirror or two on the odd occasion.

Damian is highly respected in the industry and well known for his creative lighting techniques that transform the everyday and ordinary into something dramatic, different and stylized.

Damian will give a short presentation of his unique, stylish and narrative driven imagery and then using specially prepared slides and diagrams will share with you not only the concept and design of a selection of the imagery but also show you EXACLTY how it was lit, what was used to light it and why it was lit in that way.
